The Third Party Production position is responsible for external brand communication and internal design, merchandising, legal, communicating with vendor from initial set up to receipt of goods at distribution center.
:Active participant in all product development and production meetings (sketch review, line review, fittings etc.), while addressing issues with cross functional team.
:Serve as liaison between Men's, Women's, Crewcuts Merchant and Designer.
:Set up all vendors as per legal agreement for In Line, Exclusive or Co:Branded.
:Ensure all relevant brands and style information (cost, retail, minimum order requirements, content etc.) are correct so that the merchandising team can place purchase orders and fill in copy.
:Onboard brand to operational and compliance requirements, including purchase order retrieval, ticketing, shipping, testing and routing requirements.
:Work with the Legal and Testing team to review product assortments for each season; identifying high risk styles/items
:Obtain CPC testing certificates for Crew Cuts, and MSDS forms for Beauty and Candles.
:Communicate blocked styles, where necessary for International.
:Send ASN to distribution centers when non complaint.
:Negotiate cost and contribution to marketing fund.
:Handle invoice discrepancies and schedule pre:payments where required.
:Negotiate and settle damage claims, returns, cancellations, over shipments, short shipments, and late shipments.
:Set global sourcing strategy: source new suppliers based on business growth plans and introduction of new product categories. Develop and maintain a diversified international supply chain.
:Determine and implement sourcing strategies
:Monitor testing and work with factories/mills/vendors to correct failures.
:Maintain garment delivery, manage time and action calendar, along with other production reports
:Trouble shoot delivery concerns as well as potential quality issues
:Communicate daily with agents and factories to monitor and drive the production process. Build strong vendor relationships.
:Interact with inter:department colleagues from initial concept stages through delivery to ensure all deadlines are met
:Define and execute the sourcing strategy with supervisor to deliver companies expectation
:Ability to travel as needed
:Demonstrated experience leading a team and strong cross functional influence, to ensure production deadlines are met on a timely basis
:Identify talent, develop and mentor team to deliver outstanding results and team growth.
:Strong leadership skills. Must have the ability to give guidance answer questions and oversee all managerial aspects
:Ability to prioritize workload, while achieving deadlines.
:Oversee all Production functions of the area
:10+ years of product development and production experience, buying, operations or account management experience.
:Fluent in the overall production process from the design card stage to the shipping of the PO.
:Ability to identify issues and solve problems, bring creative solutions to the table
:Must drive to meet deadlines, creative problem solver and pro:active business approach
:Strong cross functional partnerships both internal and external, and continuous positive attitude
:Excellent communication, organizational and follow through skills. Ability to multi:task
:Expertise in time and action calendars
:Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook Express and PLM System
:AAS or BA/BS degree in Production Management or related field preferred
