POSITION PURPOSE: Support companies overall growth plan by managing and performing inside sales tasks (phone sales) to major retail accounts. Promote manufactured and distributed brands to customers (**and work with outside sales field Reps when applicable) to build current business and grow new accounts. This positions supports Select Nutrition and works from our Uniondale, NY office. EEO/VETERANS/DISABLED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Manage and grow retail health food accounts within a specified account list / region and promote manufactured and distributed brands using sales techniques and best practices. Ensure sales goal are met and exceeded (Gateway and individual). Ensure the company's professional reputation is maintained. Exceed customer expectations. Ensure customers are informed of company products, programs and promotions. Ensure requests, needs and questions are promptly resolved (Follow up ). Handle incoming calls and orders from retail accounts. Up sell all orders for additional business. Build rapport with customers, educate and sell products, overcome objections and close the sale. Have a tenacious approach to selling. Attain overall company and individual goals / growth provided to you by utilizing your "Game Plan for Success" that is a collaborative effort with your direct report (Director of sales). Void matrix's by customer Understanding & growing A,B,C accounts Zero Accounts Focus Keep an organized call calendar for scheduled appointment calls (Call Manager Program). Enter all call activities in call manager Understand and Utilize all sales materials, deals available to you: Monthly Specials (Tracker) Monthly catalog Deals Vendor of the Day Deals Spiffs Show Deals (Expos etc ) Mcb'S Utilize call manger Monitor service delivery and ensure excellence in service levels. Provide recommendations/solutions regarding improvements in sales and service, programs and procedures to your direct report (Director of sales) to help exceed customer expectations. Seek out new accounts using internet searches, directories and trade publications. Make outbound calls to develop new business opportunities. Attend AND Participate in sales meetings, sales trainings, and product information sessions. Follow all department and company policies. Any and all other tasks as assigned by the management staff. **Work with Field Rep partners to develop growth strategies, create promotions and increase business within account base. (**Where / if applicable ). Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience Experience: Nutritional background (knowledge of vitamins, dietary supplements, and/or natural products industry) 2 years Inside Sales experience System Implementation preferred Knowledge: Knowledge of inside sales strategies and techniques Basic understanding of biology and chemistry Skills/Abilities: Proven negotiation skills as demonstrated by previous work experience Proficient computer skills, including work experience in Microsoft Office programs Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills Project management and/or team experience
