Market Opportunity People who work for public schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, and municipal governments can save for retirement through 403(b) tax-sheltered arrangement (TSA) and 457(b) employee deferred compensation (EDC) plans. Together, AXA Advisors and the RBG provide wealth management services and financial education to help meet the retirement needs of those who serve and build our communities. Financial professionals are assigned to employers who have selected AXA Equitable, an affiliate of AXA Advisors, as a product provider for their retirement plan. This gives financial professionals access to prospects. As a financial professional, you will initially build a book of business by offering retirement funding products for 403(b) TSA and 457(b) EDC plans. Your sales opportunities can increase with the potential for cross sales - the ability to offer clients additional annuity, insurance, and investment products that are appropriate for their situation. The Retirement Benefits Group offers financial professionals a competitive salary2 plus commission in addition to performance bonus opportunities.3 During the period that you are covered by your initial employment contract(s), you are eligible for many of AXA Equitable's employee benefit plans and programs. Thereafter, your eligibility for these company benefits is based on your annual production during a specified time period. Training, Support, and Sales Tools Your success is our success. To help ensure your successful career, the RBG has created a comprehensive training program. Your manager will work closely with you to train you on how to prospect new clients, service existing clients, and build market share. Beyond the core curriculum, as a financial professional, you will have access to a wide range of learning resources, including regularly scheduled meetings led by senior executives and successful Financial Professionals, web conferences and online training at your convenience. In addition, you can potentially attend up to four levels of on-site training sessions designed to educate you on the RBG sales process and expand your knowledge in the retirement plans marketplace. These conferences include: * Core Training: This introductory training session reviews the turnkey sales presentation in depth and the prospecting and selling skills you will need to be successful in your market. * TSA Certification: This three-day certification session covers retirement plan laws and regulations. Topics include: coordination of available retirement plans; defining eligibility for retirement plans and their benefits; legislation; IRS audit activities and target initiatives; and common violations and failures in 403(b) and 457(b) plans. Upon successful completion, attendees will have earned the title Retirement Benefits Specialist/Tax-Sheltered Plans as well as state CE credits. * RBG Sales Builder: This session reinforces the skills learned at Core Training with more analysis or cross-sale opportunities. The curriculum is designed to boost production of second- and third- year Advisors. Focus is on effectively reviewing clients' current financial positions and goals using our structured fact-finding method and presenting cross-sell opportunities. * RBG Top of the Class Meeting: This conference is generally held once a year for financial professionals who achieve a specific production level. It discusses strategies for high-producing professionals to continue growing their practice and enhancing their earnings potential.
