Job Description Marketing Technology & Intelligence Expert Outside-the-box, marketing tech position that reports to the AVP of Marketing. Key Skills and Responsibilities Hat #1: Salesforce Guru As our Salesforce Guru, you will be our visionary expert driving Salesforce capabilities with a holistic understanding from strategy to back-end/force.com development in order to drive the innovative use of Salesforce as a productivity and intelligence tool and enterprise platform. As our Salesforce adaptation progresses, you will play a key role in transforming multiple disconnected processes into a unified system in Salesforce. This means you will need to quickly understand our business deeply to proactively optimize our Salesforce set-up. We anticipate your Salesforce responsibilities to include: Set up and maintain profiles/roles, permissions, custom objects/fields, page layouts, automated data hygiene, workflows, validations, mapping etc. Automate data hygiene efforts to improve data efficiency of data integrity efforts Conceptualize, develop, create, and maintain customized reports and dashboards for all stakeholder business units to proof the value Salesforce can provide for enterprise intelligence Maintain and enhance visual layouts Build workflow rules and business logic layer to streamline and enhance business processes and improve user experience Integrate Marketing platforms, such as Pardot, and other solutions with Salesforce Continuously enhance the Marketing-Sales funnel capabilities, including campaign and opportunity management Implement enhancements, new apps, roll out new features Remain current on Salesforce.com best practices and technologies Write APIs, map new data and provide recommendations for process improvements as we add more data to the platform Train new and existing users on how to use Salesforce and related applications Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users Keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements Research, evaluate and recommend third-party Salesforce apps Perform trouble shooting, general maintenance, resolve admin tickets, and provide user support Hat #2: Marketing Platforms Guru As Marketing Platforms Guru, you will be responsible for implementing, integrating and maintaining cloud-based systems that are critical to marketing operations such as Pardot Marketing Automation or other future solutions around marketing asset management or democratized BI solutions. This may include: Set-up and maintain user groups, permissions, custom fields, workflows, automated actions and systems triggers Design complex logic trees for automated programs, such as lead nurturing drips Act as a liaison with Sales to integrate and coordinate Marketing and Sales efforts around lead generation & nurturing Manage and optimize integration of these platforms with Salesforce Research, evaluate and recommend new Marketing/Sales technologies Implement business side of new Marketing technologies Train non-Marketing users on how to use and leverage parts of the systems that are available to other business units Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users Keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements Perform trouble shooting, general maintenance, and provide user support Hat #3: Reporting Whiz As our Marketing Reports Writer, you will develop a reports and dashboard suite with accessible, actionable intelligence for Marketing. You need to be an independent thinker who is comfortable making proactive recommendations to the report structure and who likes the challenge of building something from scratch. Responsibilities may include: Design, develop, modify and test reports that meet Marketings needs Solid understanding of complex data models for customer data, business systems and their underlying associated processes Thorough understanding of all data sources relevant to Marketing Intelligence; identify appropriate data sources and ensures data integrity when pulling information into structured reports Manage dashboarding requests and provide ad-hoc marketing analytics requests Ensure quality of the reports prior to releasing to production Collaborate closely with IT where applicable Desired Experience General Education required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field General Skills required: Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills Excellent decision-making skills Mindset of a Project Manager: Strong organization, project/time-management skills, ability to execute multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Rapid absorption of new information and knowledge: a clear understanding of the companys business model and associated business rules are keys to being successful A self-motivated candidate that is actively engaged and asks questions and displays independent judgment Passionate about solving challenges by leveraging technology solutions Strong communication skills Great creative energy and positive attitude Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams as well as third parties Good understanding of data structures, data modeling Subject-matter Education & Experience: Reporting: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Skills and Pivot tables ODBC A plus: Microsoft SQL Reporting Services platform (SSRS) and SQL Proficient in relational database architecture and advanced queries from multiple data sources knowledge of BI tools Marketing Technology: Marketing Automation platforms (preferably Pardot) and integration with Salesforce Trigger-based behavioral scripting/rules/workflows and integration Best practices for email campaign deliverability and landing page SEO A plus: HTML and CSS Salesforce: Salesforce.com and technologies that work with Force.com language Workflows, rules, automation Advanced, custom report creation Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality Company Description Excellent opportunity with a great and stable firm!
