Many of these painting have gone for 1600-5000. I am selling these and more like them for 200 each, as an estate sale! The artist has passed away, and I own his works, which need to be sold within the month before relocation. Pick up is in Queens NY, or I can have paintings shipped to you as well. I am looking for a good home for these works and the resale value is a high margin.

Paintings are acrylic on linen canvas varying at around 40" x 54" give or take 2-4 inches is a beautiful large painting, perfect as a wall piece. To have an original Casper is wonderful, as it is alive with personality. All purchases come with a narrated CD by Robert Casper On "The Essence of Form".

Robert Casper was born in NYC 1928-2012 .

About the artist:

Robert Casper was born in NYC in 1928. He studied with Cameron Booth at the Art Student's League and Queens College and was taught for many years by Hans Hoffman at the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Arts in New York and his summer school in Provincetown. He received his Master of Arts degree in Art Education from Columbia University.
From 1954 - 1958 he worked in the animation industry, spending a good deal of this time at UPA in Burbank, CA, working as an assistant animator while freelancing producing storyboards. He later open his studio on Ash Ave. in Flushing, NY where he painted for many years.

His lifelong passion and work was painting and form. He had the advantage of coming of age during the Second World War when many great European artists lived in New York City or its environs, notably Mondrian, Leger, Chagall, Jaques Lishitz and Max Earnst. Their presence created an ambiance favorable to the study of a more worldly art. What interested him most was form and structure which dominated his thoughts throughout his career. In 1985 he published his treatise ...On the Essence of Pictorial Form, which outlined his views on modern art and the fundamentals of pictorial construction.

Robert Casper passed away in 2012.
